Too much strong tea, however can over stimulate the nervous sysyem and weaken the yang of the body. As a natural diuretic, it can leach out of some vitamins and minerals with overuse. The cooling tea can be too much on an empty stomach for anyone with cold and deficient symptoms, this can be assisted however by adding warming spices.
Green tea is higher in protective polyphenols, such as the flavonoids, catechins and epigallocatechin, which are powerful antioxidants which give green tea its apparent anti inflammatory properties, which may improve brain function and increase fat burning abilities.
As with all tea generally, the size of the leaf improves the quality with a larger leaf having less damaging qualities.
